  • Included Labor: Full panel safety inspection; isolating the main incoming power feeds; removing the failing breaker; testing terminal wire insulation; cleaning bus bar contact points; installing a premium, code-compliant replacement breaker (Standard, AFCI, or GFCI as mandated by local code); torque-testing terminal lugs to exact specification; and load verification.

  • 🚨 Scope Note: Pricing includes replacing a single pre-existing breaker element only. It does not include running new circuit wires. If a breaker will not reset due to faulty wiring or a short-circuit within the lines—rather than a broken breaker mechanism—this requires advanced diagnostic tracking. Electrical Panel Repair & Tune-Up | $350 – $1,500

Rehabilitate your existing service panel by correcting loose terminations, replacing compromised interior parts, and restoring reliable physical connections.

  • Best For: Older panels with flickering lights, loose neutral connections, corroded grounding bars, or panels requiring the replacement of damaged main lugs or scorched bus bars.

  • Included Labor: Coordinating a localized power shutdown with your local utility company; completely shutting down main service power; total disassembly of the interior panel components to extract and replace degraded copper or aluminum bus bars; tracing systemic neutral and ground integrity; replacing worn terminal blocks or neutral bars; tightening all internal lugs to code-mandated torque values; and rebalancing phase loads across the panel.

  • Included Labor: Surface or flush-mounting a premium NEMA 1 or weatherproof NEMA 3R subpanel enclosure (typically 60A to 120A capacity); installing a main subpanel isolation breaker; mounting local ground and isolated neutral bars; terminating thick feeder lines; and setting up the internal circuit distribution tracks.

  • 🚨 AFCI & Existing Wiring Disclaimer: National Electrical Code (NEC) building codes often require upgrading to modern Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) breakers during a subpanel installation. Pre-existing, hidden wiring issues in older sections of the home—such as shared neutrals, bootleg grounds, knob-and-tube decay, or crowded junction boxes—frequently cause these ultra-sensitive safety breakers to experience nuisance tripping. Correcting or rewiring these pre-existing home wiring errors requires separate diagnostic and repair fees; we are not liable for pre-existing legacy wiring conditions.

  • Best For: Properties with old, dangerous panels (like Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or old fuse boxes), homes upgrading from 100A to 200A service to accommodate EV chargers/heat pumps, or panels completely out of physical breaker spaces.

  • Included Labor: Securing necessary local building permits; coordinating a complete power disconnect with your local utility company; safe removal and structural disposal of the old panel; structural mounting of a premium 100A, 150A, or 200A main service panel; installing a new whole-house main service disconnect breaker; updating the home’s structural grounding system (including driving new grounding rods and bonding water pipes); splicing and terminating all existing home branch circuits neatly into the new panel; labeling every breaker precisely; and coordinating the final municipal electrical inspection.

  • Included Labor: Installing an appropriately sized single or double-pole circuit breaker into your panel; mapping a structural path; pulling heavy-duty branch wiring or heavy-gauge copper/aluminum commercial-grade feeder cables through newly installed surface conduit (EMT), liquid-tight whips, or attic spaces directly to the target room box or subpanel enclosure.

  • Pricing Factors: Simpler branch line extensions through open framing fall into the $150 – $350 tier, while heavy dedicated panel home runs span $450 – $850. The overall range scales up to $1,800 based on attic space accessibility, high-amperage subpanel lines requiring thick-gauge conductors, core-drilling through concrete, underground trenching, and whether interior finished walls must be opened to fish lines.
